Hello, I've been searching the archives on this but have not found anything specific as of yet. I'm doing an ADFS installation with a public ssl certificate that is a wildcard certificate. I have imported the certificate into the local computer store and ADFS sees the certificate when running the installation wizard. However, the wizard fails once I enter the ADFS service name to which I want to create the service under. The error that I get is the following:
An error occurred during an attempt to configure IIS to use the SSL certificate. Make sure the certificate is valid and present in the Local Computer Personal Certificate Store.
I have validated that the certificate is there and is valid (as I have also imported the root and intermediary certificates that came with the certificate). I'm wondering if anyone on the list knows whether the CRL of the certificate is checked as part of the installation wizard. I don't think this particular server has Internet Access configured so my guess is the CRL checking is failing as it tried to access the CDP of the issuer.
Has anyone encountered the same error when installing ADFS?
