Greetings,
Vs2013 is missing two WIF (Windows Identity Foundation) menu items when we right mouse click a Web Site project in Solution Explorer:
1) "Add STS Reference ..." is missing but the workaround for this is running "C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Identity Foundation SDK\v4.0\FedUtil.exe"
2) "Update federation metadata" is also missing. RSPV if you know an alternate method of running this menu item, or how to manually update the configuration files.
Tech Note1: We have installed the WIF runtime (via Control Panel -> Programs -> Programs and Features -> Turn Windows features on or off: Windows Identity Foundation 3.5)
Tech Note 2: We have installedthe WIF SDK(via Windows-Identity-Foundation-SDK-4.0.msi).
Tech Note 3: We are developing on Window 8.1 & tried the .NetFramework 4.5 and .NetFramework 4.5.1
Tech Note 4: The Service.svc files display successfully in a web browser for both the WCF Services and the STS.
